In this taste we simulated what happens when a caterpillar lounge around a leaf containing starch. We used both large beakers and two dialysis tube to represent the caterpillars digestive spot; the latter represented the caterpillars intestine specifically. We brush off four pipettes worth of cooked starch in a beautiful beaker which represented the head. We then added four pipettes worth of amylase and mixed them together to show what it is like when food mixes saliva. The next step was to take four pipettes worth of the mixture into one of the dialysis tubing. This would be our empiric subject. Meanwhile we also made the control subject. This dialysis tubing on the dot contained starch. We then placed both dialysis tubing in consort large beakers, which were two-thirds full of water and four droppers of Lugols reagent. When the experiment first started both dialysis appeared clear in color and the concern solution was an orange color. W e went on with the rest of the experiments and when we observed it an while later the control dialysis tubing had turned black and the empiric dialysis tubing remained clear.

We then checked the Glucose levels in both of the dialysis tubing and the surrounding solution. In the control subject we found no Glucose whatsoever, however in the experimental subject we found noble-minded levels of Glucose. The reason for this is that when amylase and starch are mixed together they category to from Glucose. This also explains why the one tubing was black and the assorted remained clear.
